Gourmet kitchens also come with large kitchen islands, granite countertops and full backsplash as well as ceramic tile flooring. Many homes have three-bay garages and salt water pools with built in barbecue pits. Schools in this district include Westside Elementary, La Quinta Middle School, and Coachella Valley High School.
The Tradition Golf Club, established in 1997, is a tropical paradise with 450-feet corridors that reflect the 1920’s Spanish Colonial architecture. The design of this private club included many intricate details to ensure the timelessness of the ambiance. Arnold Palmer designed the golf course which is situated at the foot of the Santa Rosa Mountains. This course is one his proudest when considering over 300 of his personally designed courses. The championship course offers 18 holes that include the signature 17th. There are lightning fast greens and spacious fairways as well as an Augusta White bunker sand.
The club’s dining room facilities offer several different options for different tastes, moods, and special occasions. Members may use the Clubhouse Dining Room, Coyote Café, Eisenhower Cottage, Kennedy Suite, and the Hacienda Dining Room.
The Tradition is located in the former home of oil and real estate baron William Rosecrans who purchased the original ranch in 1938. He expanded the hacienda and brought in tropical plants for the grounds. Presidents Dwight Eisenhower and John F. Kennedy were known to have spent visited, spending the night there.
